Portugal 621DSCN1248Today as I have a cat sitting on my lap I thought I’d share my rather random collection of cats from Olhão!  Even if you are not a cat lover then there is something for you too, so don’t close the post down just yet . . . . scroll down to the bottom for a quick update on me, some blog recommendations and a non-cat photograph.

DSCN1246Portugal 620Not the first time I’ve done a cat post as I also got carried away in Fuseta one day . . if you are like me and always say hello to a cat who crosses your path then do pop across to my other post. If though you have more sense, then as promised here’s a little something for you too.

And here's something different for those who can resist cats!

We’re back in England now for the ‘summer’ and whilst it is lovely catching up with family, friends and life I must admit we are missing the Algarvian food, weather, flora and fauna.  We have booked our return trip but until then I guess I’m simply going to have to relive the beauty through my posts and all the other wonderful blogs out there.  Some of my favourites are Saudades de Portugal, Restless Jo and al Algarve conmigo.  For my blog I’ve got planned for you lots more flora and fauna. a few walks, a return to Tavira and what I’m most excited about a detailed look at the amazing fish market including fish identification. The posts are probably going to be bi-weekly or even weekly rather than every couple of days, but I hope you will still continue to enjoy what I have to share.

It had been a good life walking, cooking, photographing, volunteering, blogging, and best of all spending time with MrB, family, & friends. Sadly it is no longer what it was, as suddenly and unexpectedly I became a widow.

  1. We will cross in transit somewhere as we go back from England to Spain and to visit Cabanas again very soon. Love the cats but will miss my old boy of 17 years. He is a ginger London gentlecat.

  2. Thank you Becky. I really enjoy your blog and look forward to learning lots more about Portugal and it’s hidden gems. We have been coming there for seven years and continue to love it more each visit. Hope you have a great summer.
