Feliz Natal!

The smaller ones are far more traditional, reflecting the original design created by St. Francis of Assisi in 1223. The simplest ones will just have Jesus,the Virgin Mary, and Joseph, but as you can see from the wonderful collection created by primary schools in the parish of Castro Marim most also have one or more of the following; a donkey and ox or sheep to represent the simplicity of the place where Jesus was born, Angels, Star of Bethlehem, Shepherds and the Three Magi – Melchior, Gaspar and Baltazar.

    1. A little bit of cloud this morning and a cold wind but looks like will be warm later 😎
      No guests (thank goodness!!) for the Eve but still plenty of food and fireworks. How about you?

      1. Nothing much planned. James goes back to Leeds for a job interview on Friday. We’ll just be looking forward to throwing a few bits in a bag and off… 🙂 Enjoy!
