I’ve never read H. Jackson Brown’s ‘Life’s Little Instruction‘ book, but his sunrise tip is one I strongly recommend. Others you may like include flossing your teeth, drinking champagne for no reason at all, being suspicious of all politicians and planting a tree on your Birthday. I think I may acquire the book!
At this time of year in the northern hemisphere it is relatively easy to go out at dawn, as sunrise isn’t too early. So if you haven’t yet managed to watch it this year make a note to yourself to have a go before the end of year. And if you manage to get up in time this month it is also a wonderful opportunity to see beautiful lines; essential if you are taking part in a photo blogging challenge titled lines&squares!
If you have been enjoying this blog for a few years then you will know I regularly rise at dawn, and have over the years been spoilt by the sunrises over the Ria Formosa. It is a wonderful way to start the day.
A great way to start any day. Even I could get up at sunrise for these. 🙂
Time of year to do it as it’s not too early!
I totally agree with ‘watching sunrise’…..Nature offers such a kaliedoscope of stunning colours, EVERY day. As your photos show..no two days are the same.
That’s so true
Beautiful photos. I have seen some wonderful sunrises particularly in the Alentejo.
Thank you so much . . . and yes Alentejo an even more beautiful region possibly!
Stunning images, Becky.
And with a view like that, getting up for dawn should be mandatory!
I did my sunrise duty in Venice last week – another place where it’s a MUST 🙂
Thank you Debbie. One of these days I’ll make it to Venice and do exactly that!
These are spectacular sunrise photos. The colors are luscious!
oh thank you so much 😀
Stunning skies!
Thank you so much 🙂
