Of course if you go into the hills or the nature reserves you are going to see more, but it is quite surprising how much you come across strolling around the saltpans.
These photos are mostly taken in & around Olhão saltpans or over on the Ilhas, but a few such as the Almond Blossom were taken in the hills around Alcoutim and Castro Marim or in the centre of Tavira.
I have not spent any time yet on identifying them all, but over the next few weeks and months hope to succeed. So do come back if you are interested in knowing what they are, and if you do know the names of any then let me know!
All of these were take in late November and early February, so I cannot wait for our visit in May.
and have you spotted the second bird? Clue look in the trees!
