As regular readers to this site will know, it is the food, flora, fauna and birds of the Algarve that keeps us returning year after year. I have thousands of photographs now of the migrating birds, and the flora is catching up fast! We visit in the winter months when the weather is the UK holds few delights, and because of this we miss out on much of the fauna, and even if we do see something, such as the Iberian Hares, it is rare for me to capture them in a photograph.
This year though we’ve stayed a little bit longer, and consequently have been able to observe the Fiddler Crabs, Moorish Geckos and finally the frogs. I say finally about the frogs as we’ve heard them quite a bit, but only recently have I managed to spot and photograph one in the undergrowth.
And that’s not all we’ve spotted hidden in the undergrowth!
